Helping Tripawds get around on floors is challenging. Hardwood or slick tile surfaces are not friendly to pets with mobility issues, especially three-legged dogs and cats. - Overall the product lives up to it’s claims. If you have a mostly indoor, older dog or cat who lives on slippery floors, you may want to give this a try.

I have a 15 yr old sheltie mix! I’m slightly worried about the product being ingested/ absorbed through his pores– what is the concoction made of?
Hi Casey! The product uses a non-toxic sand-type granule that is completely safe. The glue used to adhere it to the paws is medical-grade, same stuff they use in surgery for humans and pets. No need to worry about ill effects. Plus it’s made by a veterinarian, who knew there had to be something better for senior dogs like yours. We feel good telling folks about this traction solution. I have a paralyzed dog,(back half) and while not in the chair he has traction issues galore .our floors are all laminated

What happens if it gets wet? Going outside and coming back in as we approach winter could be an issue?
Luanne, we found that this is not ideal for wet surfaces (PawFrictions mentions that on their website). They are working on a more long-lasting one for outdoor use, so for now we recommend putting something like Pawz booties on the feet before going outside on wet surfaces.
