The Ruffwear Swamp Cooler Harness is built for active three-legged dogs who need both cooling and support on warm-weather adventures.

Just get it wet and evaporative cooling does the rest!

Re-wet with a water bottle or stream dip if it dries mid-outing.

 

Three-layer construction provides UPF 50+ protection and cools back, chest, and belly:

• Wicking outer layer reflects heat and facilitates evaporation
• Absorbent middle layer stores water for sustained cooling
• Breathable mesh lining keeps your dog dry and comfortable

Support & fit features:

• Padded handle and load-dispersing chest/belly panel for balanced, comfortable lifting
• Six adjustment points, side-release buckles for easy on/off
• Two leash attachment points: anodized aluminum V-ring and reinforced tow loop
• Reflective trim and light loop for low-light visibility

Note for front-leg amputees: Left leg must be lifted to place harness over dog’s head.

Without a fourth leg, some shifting is normal — proper sizing and adjustment will minimize it.

In-between sizes? Go larger.

Post-surgery: Wait until the incision is fully healed and stitches/staples are removed.
