Web Master Mobility Harness Features Comparison

We’re barking like crazy about Ruff Wear’s newly re-designed Web Master harness because it’s the most well-tailored, comfortable and durable version yet.

The following photos show a side-by-side comparison of the old Web Master (left) with the new Web Master (right). Check out the differences.

Here are two photos of Tripawds Spokesdog Wyatt Ray. On top, he’s wearing the pre-2012 Web Master. On the bottom, he’s sporting the newest version.

At first glance, the changes seem minimal. But let’s get technical so you can see the real improvements. The new Web Master features:

Better padding for more comfort between
your dog’s body and the harness

New, tailored belly and chest strap protectors:
no more sliding, twisting or getting debris caught inside.
They also attract a lot less fur.

Harness buckles are well-protected against damage from
scrapes, rough housing and rowdy fun!

The harness has an overall better fit. There’s more coverage area,
but the design is better tailored for a closer fit that means less sliding around the torso.

A wider, more padded handle also makes it easier
to help your Tripawd get around.

We love how the harness fits our Tripawd Wyatt Ray so much better than the last version. It comes in handy every day, especially when hoisting him into our high clearance truck and RV.

The new design enables us to help him so he doesn’t put extra force on his remaining limbs, which is so important for a three-legged dog.

Still the Best Mobility Harness for Canine Amputees

The new Web Master harness allows for full range of motion for your dog, and is designed to be ergonomic and comfortable enough to wear every day, all day.

And even if you’re just using it for a walk, it’s a great dog collar alternative. The secure D-ring on top enables you to attach a leash and distribute pulling force evenly across the body.

Stay tuned for a new review video. Until then, if you want to see how the Web Master works in real-life, every day situations, here’s Jerry sporting the previous version:

  1. Love it even more than the last model! Sits better, doesn’t slip and is lighter and cooler. Dries quicker too. Really seems to mould to their body shape.
It’s vital for my front amputee greyhound just in case she needs a helping hand. My 2 other dogs have them too because they’re just the best!!!
    Thank you for making them.

  2. Since Chloe is a rear amp I bought her the RuffWear Webmaster harness pre 2012 and we BOTH love it! Chloe gets excited every time the harness goes on because harness =walks or car. I pick her up like luggage to put her in the car or use the handle to help her walk if she is getting tired.

I’m not in the market for the new one since the old one is still going on strong for almost 3 years now, but I would like the straps that attract fur less…

Overall Ruff Wear makes a great harness and I can’t imagine NOT having one! Most used dog product in the house!

  3. We just couldn’t do it without this harness! Our vet had actually recommended it the day of surgery and Tahoe has not gone one day without it. Tahoe is a Great Pyrenees and just at 100lbs post surgery. With his size, weight and not to forget he will be 10 in August, this harness helps us help him. In and out of the car, up and down stairs and even for added support when he gets tired. We leave it on all day (he has never once fussed about it being on) and take it off at bedtime. I do wish it was just a bit longer toward the back with more belly padding for a more centered support, but he is a large dog and we have the largest size. It has absolutely been a lifesaver for all of us. Keeping in mind Tahoe has worn this everyday since October 18, it shows no signs of wear and still looks new. I’m extremely impressed with that!

  4. I just got my Ruff Wear harness yesterday. I wish I had it from the time she was younger! She is now 13 years old and has been falling a lot. She is a front leg amputee (since about 4 months old due to being run over by my veterinarian in our driveway!) and has had one cruciate repair and the other has a tear and something or other going on in the hip (not displaysia). She takes 150 mg of Tramadol 3X/day. This morning was the first morning down the stairs (because, of course, she has to sleep with me). It was SO easy! Even up the stairs last night, I pretty much carried her like a suitcase so she wasn’t huffing and puffing by the time she got into bed! I LOVE this harness! Thank you SO much! I wish I had found a company like this when she was younger. I used to search and search for gear specifically aimed at 3-legged dogs, to no avail. I also have a big dog stroller. That thing is a wonderful tool. Maggie LOVES it! I take it out of my car when we go someplace and she is trying to get into it before I can unfold it and set it up! The only problem with the large dog strollers, they are expensive. I found mine on Craigslist!

  5. Sheba is on the border of M and L/XL. We ended up getting the L/XL (plus the brush guard) and that gives plenty of room to adjust. We first tried the harness without the brush guard, but she seems to prefer the comfort added by the brush guard. I only wish we had bought it BEFORE amputation!
